Liverpool is served by an excellent public transport system with buses, trains, roads and motorways linking it with other towns and cities across England.

Many inter-city trains arrive and depart from Lime Street Station, while Central Station connects Liverpool to nearby cities and towns. Motorways near Liverpool include the M6, M56, M57 and M58. Foreign visitors generally arrive via London and there are trains departing every half hour from London Euston station with a journey time of roughly two and a half hours, depending which one you catch.

Liverpool John Lennon Airport is about seven miles from the centre of Liverpool. Airlines run flights to domestic locations with the UK and to mainland European destinations, while a regular bus service runs from the airport to the city centre.
